Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Cruise Line Policies Apply

Because we act as an independent travel agency broker, all reservations are ultimately governed by the direct terms, cancellation schedules, and refund policies of the cruise line carrier associated with your booking (e.g., Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Line, Carnival, etc.).

⚠️ Warning: Most cruise lines impose strict cancellation penalties that increase as the sail date approaches. Always review your specific cruise line carrier's guest ticket contract before booking.

2. Standard Cancellation Penalty Timelines

While schedules vary by line and duration, standard cruise line cancellation schedules generally follow:

• 90+ Days Prior to Sailing: Typically full refund or loss of non-refundable deposit.
• 89 to 60 Days Prior: Penalty equal to the deposit amount.
• 59 to 30 Days Prior: Penalty of 50% of the total cruise fare.
• 29 to 15 Days Prior: Penalty of 75% of the total cruise fare.
• 14 Days or Less: 100% cancellation penalty (no refund).

3. Our Agency Modification and Processing Fees

To maintain the lowest possible unlisted group rates, Discount Cruise Fare charges a flat administrative change/cancellation processing fee:

• Reservation Changes (Names, Dates): $50 per modification.
• Booking Cancellation Processing Fee: $75 per cabin.

These fees are separate from, and in addition to, any cancellation penalties imposed by the cruise lines.

4. How to Request a Cancellation or Modification

All cancellations and changes must be requested verbally by calling our booking service line and then confirmed in writing. We cannot process cancellations via text message or automated forms to ensure security:

We highly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance. Travel insurance can protect your vacation investment from unforeseen cancellations, medical emergencies, trip interruptions, and baggage losses. Speak to your booking agent during your quote call to receive a list of travel insurance packages.
